  1. Ken M

I bought this tent for an extended backpacking trip — looking for a sturdy 2-person tent that was not too heavy (and not too pricey). This has more than lived up to my expectations.

  2. Executive Director

Our youth group recently went camping at Big Bend Ranch State Park, TX and this tent performed flawlessly. Easy to erect, lots of room and when tied down properly will remain standing even.

  3. CyclistEquestrian

I used the Limelight on a bicycle tour across British Columbia in the summer of 2017. It was a fabulous piece of gear; very easy to put up [sometimes in a hurry rainstorms], and take down.

We ordered this tent from REI. I weighed it: 6LBs and 5oza full pound heavier than advertised. Mi… Show Full Review This action will open a modal dialog.

I purchased this tent a month ago to replace an old tent for an upcoming camping trip. The first night using this tent was great. Good weather, loved the doors and the open feel to the design.

Have used this tent for years. It always keeps my dry and protected from the elements. The features are logical, assembly is easy, and it carries really well in a pack.

  9. HayleyK2160

This tent is beautiful. The colors are amazing and don’t seem to have faded at all since I bought it during the Labor Day sale in 2018.

  10. RobR

Got this for a backcountry trip and love it. It’s big enough for 2 6-foot tall men, and our camping … Show Full Review This action will open a modal dialog.

  11. Anto

Is a relatively good 4 season tent for the price, I’m from the Andes and I work pretty good. I would say that for the price is great ✔ Yes, I recommend this product.

  12. chatan

Bought this about a month back and does the job well. Very sturdy and well built. ✔ Yes, I recommend this product.

  13. Hardtimes

I’ve had my Limelight 2 for 4 years now. I love everything about it except for the weight and pack size which makes it difficult to use for anything longer than a wknd hike/camp.

  14. Marcus SA

Used the tent for 6 nights in the Fijian rain Forrest where it rained every day about 80% of the time and not one drop off water was found in the tent. However I do think the tent should come.

  15. rjt8190

Just completed two weeks camping in YNT. Did several campsite changes and all tent ups/downs (very simple!) went exceptionally well.

  16. Oleg

I bought this tent in early 2019 for tracking in Patagonia. Before that I had a Marmot Limelight 2-Person Tent, which showed complete failure in a strong wind.

  17. alby

I bought this tent for winter fieldwork because it was a cheap 3/4 season tent. I used the tent for 6 weeks in the field, and I was massively impressed.

  18. Foundationsman

I have had one of these for years and have never had problems with it. It keeps me and my gear dry and is plenty spacious for two people. ✔ Yes, I recommend this product.

  19. ChrisTwoSherpas

We just bought a second Limelight tent, so we have two for our larger backpacking trips. While not the lightest tent, it is so well designed and roomy that we don’t mind it not being featherlight.

  20. gretahw

This tent is fantastic. I used it during four weeks of field research in the Icelandic highlands, where it withstood downpours and high winds without a hitch.
